The narrative unfolds as a fox navigates the challenges of the unforgiving natural world. The story revolves around a rumor circulating through the woods: the belief among the animals that one can experience a rebirth into a better life after death. The graphic novel explores the concept that what may appear as mere wildlife accidents could potentially be animals intentionally choosing to end their own lives.
Synopsis
The animated short draws inspiration from the concept of animated comics, incorporating a blend of illustrations and textured 3D objects.
The animations are characterized by subtlety, primarily achieved through nuanced camera movements and environmental effects, such as snowfall or the gentle sway of vegetation.
Concept
The animated short is mostly done in 3D, but does also involve flat drawings over a 3D background. It also features an over 200,000,000 poly forest created with ass-file stand-ins and the Maya Mesh Network.
